First BanCorp has agreed to settle a shareholder class action lawsuit which was filed in the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico for $74.25 million.

The class action lawsuit which alleged TracFone Wireless Inc. misled consumers by charging them at the roaming rate in their home calling area and refusing to extend the length of their prepaid service periods during repairs of defective handsets, has been agreed to be settled.
