3M Age Discrimination Lawsuit Wins Class Action Status
The lawsuit against the Maplewood based manufacturer 3M Co. was raised up to the status of the class action lawsuit in Ramsey County court, today. The charge, the lawsuit brings, accuses the company of favoring the younger employees in terms of promotion, training, payment and at the same time ignoring the older employees, specifically, those above 45, confirmed sources. Thus the company is accused of step- motherly attitude towards the older workers. Michael Lieder, an attorney, for the plaintiffs, says such behavior creates a major problem for the work culture in the country.
3M, on the other hand, denies all such allegations. The spokeswoman of the company tell media, the charges are baseless. The company plans to fight the charges.
