Class Action Lawsuit Filed Against Franklin/Templeton Mutual Fund Companies
A class Action Lawsuit has been filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California on behalf of purchasers of Franklin/Templeton Mutual Funds between January 1, 2000 and November 14, 2004, alleged that Franklin Resources, Inc., Franklin Advisers, Inc. and Franklin/Templeton Distributors, Inc. (”Defendants”) violated federal securities laws by paying kickbacks to broker/dealers who sold Franklin/Templeton Mutual Funds.
The complaint charges that Defendants made false and misleading statements in mutual fund prospectuses and other documents by concealing the existence of the kickback arrangement.
If you purchased any Franklin/Templeton Mutual Funds from January 2000 to November 2004, you may be a member of the proposed class.
If you wish to serve as lead plaintiff, you must move the Court no later than 60 days from the date of filling the suit.
