How To Draft a Will & Living Trust
A Sun Microsystem alumni recommends:
I recommend the ‘Family Lawyer’ software that you can purchase at Best’s and probably any other software source.
Besides the will and trust, you can do a power of attorney, Health Instructions and pretty much hundreds of other items from a simple ‘prompt’ window. Of course you still need to get the items Notorized at about $25/signature or $10 for seniors, and $20 to change the property name to ‘Trust of…’ with the county. The cost of the software is about $40.
…
A trust avoids the cost of probate and keeps the family vultures away.Another option is the ‘trust/will’ mills for about $300-400 for the set. A paralegal wants about $1000, and a
lawyer wants about $6000. They all ‘bite’ you on changes, but with ‘Family Lawyer ‘ you can do them yourself.
Note: This is not a legal advice.
