Lawsuit Seeking Class Action Status Filed Against Alden Group, A Chicago Nursing Home
A lawsuit seeking class action status has been filed in Cook County against the Alden Group, a Chicago nursing home which includes sites in Harvey and Orland Park, argues that the hours of care provided to each resident falls short of the minimum demanded under state rules.
The Chicago lawsuit supports its central charge using staffing numbers collected from a Web site (www.dibbern.com), which in turn attributes the data to the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
The numbers, however, don’t match the ones reported by the government agency’s own Web site.

The Alden facility at which one of my relatives resides is ***consistently*** understaffed as well.
It is not one of the Alden facilities mentioned in the lawsuit. (***incorrect website: http://www.dibbern.com***please correct)
