A gender discrimination class-action lawsuit which was brought by present and former women employees of Northshore Mining Co. in US District Court in December 1999 against the company, was agreed to be settled on $1.3 million. أ - التمييز بين الجنسين من الدرجة الدعوى التي اقامها والحاليين والسابقين من النساء العاملات في شركة التعدين northshore محكمة مقاطعة الولايات المتحدة في كانون الاول / ديسمبر 1999 ضد الشركة ، وتم الاتفاق على ان تسوى على 1.3 مليون دولار.
US District Judge Michael Davis certified it as class action in September 2003 to include 38 other current and former women employees of the mining company. قاضي محكمة المقاطعه الأمريكية مايكل ديفيس كما أنها معتمدة من الدرجة العمل في ايلول / سبتمبر 2003 لتشمل 38 الاخرى الحاليين والسابقين والنساء من العاملين في شركة التعدين.
Northshore Mining has also agreed to appoint an anti-discrimination officer and to modify certain policies and practices related to promotions, training and job assignments to ensure that female employees are treated equitably.
