Prosecutor Seeks 3 Year Jail Time For Wesley Snipes For Tax Evasion (15 Million+)
The US Justice Department has accused famous actor Wesley Snipes of misdeameanor for failing to pay taxes (over 15 million dollars). The prosecutors are trying to seek a three-year prison term and five-million dollar fine for Mr. Snipes. A statement, from the US Department of Justice reveals that Mr. Snipes had engaged in a campaign of criminal tax conduct, combining “brazen defiance with insidious concealment”.
The jury, in February, found him guilty of three misdemeanor charges of failing to file income tax between 1999 and 2004. The announcement of the Justice Department came on April 15, the date when millions of Americans are required by law to declare and pay their federal taxes to US tax authorities.
Wesley Snipes starred in hit movies like “Blade 3″ and “Demolition Man” and is a well known worldwide. The fans of Hollywood actor Wesley Snipes, may find him a hero in reel life, but in real life he may be different.
