A securities class action lawsuit is filled against MoneyGram International, in the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota, for alleged violation of Sections 10(b) and 20(a) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. The other charges include issuing a series of material misrepresentations to the market which had the effect of artificially inflating the market price. The class period, covered by the settlement, is from January 24, 2007 through January 14, 2008.
The effected consumers are advised to go to the court before May28, 2008 to serve as leading plaintiff in the case. However, there are certain legal procedure to be followed for that.
