Toyota Motor Corp. in Engine Sludge Class Action Lawsuit Settlement Agreement
Toyota Motor Corp. has agreed to settle a class action lawsuit, filed by thousands of consumers who alleged oil-sludge build-up ruined their car engines.
The agreement between Toyota Motor Sales and the plaintiffs in a class action lawsuit calls for the auto maker to reimburse owners of damaged cars for costs including engine repair, towing and storage charges, rental cars, attorney fees and “inconvenience, annoyance, anxiety and aggravation,” according to the settlement filed in Louisiana state court.
