United Auto Workers And Freightliner in Class Action Loom
January 25th, 2006A federal class-action racketeering lawsuit was filed by five workers against the United Auto Workers and Freightliner, an Oregon-based truck manufacturer, alleging that union officials and company managers agreed to wage and benefit cuts at nonunion plants in North Carolina in 2002 in exchange for valuable company assistance in organizing those workers.
