Finally on October 9, 2008, Thursday the Indo-US joint statement has got its final legal sanctity after being signed by George W Bush.
This Indo-US joint statement includes a nuclear deal which was was outlined long back in Washington. This 123 agreement says that US will fulfill all its fuel assurance commitments.
US President George W Bush also specified that under this agreement US will always recognize India’s right to reprocess spent fuel.
External Affairs Minister of India Mr. Pranab Mukherjee and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will formally accept the deal tomorrow on 11th of October, 2008.
