Indiana agreed to pay $8.5 million settlement to the compensate employees

As a settlement case between some employees of Richmond State Hospital and the hospital authorities, state government has agreed to compensate any state employees who were underpaid by 2.5 hours per week during the 20-year time frame from 1973 to 1993.

This news was revealed by the state government authorities informing that the Indiana officials has agreed to pay an $8.5 million settlement to resolve a long-running equal-pay lawsuit. They moreover say that the deadline date for the current and former Indiana state government employees to file claims for monetary damages is November. 1.

It is estimated that near about 15,000 current and former employees from various departments of state government had worked between 1973 and 1993, and may be they all are eligible for monetary damages under the class-action settlement
