Ala. jury says it’s deadlocked in drug suit trial
MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Jurors have told an Alabama judge they are deadlocked and unable to reach a verdict in the trial of that state’s prescription drug overpricing lawsuit against California-based Watson Pharmaceutical.
Montgomery County Circuit Judge Charles Price asked the jurors on Monday to keep working after they told him that some were remaining firm in the belief that the state did not prove its case.
The trial of the lawsuit against Watson is in its fourth week. Jurors deliberated for about four and a half hours after getting the case last week.
