C-Murder jury in La. tells judge of more problems
GRETNA, La. — Jurors say they’re having more problems as they weigh a second-degree murder charge against rapper Corey “C-Murder” Miller.
The jury in Louisiana sent a note to the judge Tuesday saying one juror was sleeping at times, and at other times quoting the Bible. Three jurors were seen crying in the courtroom while the judge addressed them, including the foreman and the juror accused of quoting the Bible.
Judge Hans Liljeberg ordered the jury to continue their second day of deliberations. A day earlier, the jury sent him a note saying they were having trouble reaching a consensus.
If convicted of second-degree murder, the 38-year-old Miller would face life in prison. He is accused of killing 16-year-old Steve Thomas at a nightclub in 2002.
