McCullom Lake residents receive discounts from Centegra in brain cancer lawsuit

Vinyl chloride air and water pollution from Rohm and Haas and Modine Manufacturing Co. has caused brain and nerve cancers in the village of McCullom Lake. 22 people have filed a lawsuit against these business organizations on April 2006.

Modine agreed last year to settle the class-action suit for $2 million. Vouchers for up to $2,020 were mailed in late November to 695 current and former village residents who asked for them under the settlement. Eligible people must have lived in the village for one cumulative year between 1968 and 2002.
Rohm and Haas is fighting the lawsuits in court.

Centegra Health System has undertaken a charitable move to support the McCullom Lake residents by offering them discounts in the 50% range for medical screenings such as MRIs and other scaning facilities available there.
Centegra has imaging facilities at its main hospitals in McHenry and Woodstock, as well as two locations in Crystal Lake and another in Huntley.

Eligible people can contact Donna Kasper at 815-206-5342.

Bravo and thumbs up to Centegra!!
