The amount has been estimated by a finance professor of Babson College in effort to secure a giant refund for toll-weary Pike drivers.
According to the attorney of plaintiffs Jan R. Schlichtmann, in a hearing today at Middlesex Suprior Court, they are going to place an affidavit from professor Potter, who estimates the finance in toll revenue that was diverted to pay Big Dig debts.
The class- action has been signed by about 1,700 Bay State residents, which depicts that Pike tolls are being unfairly used to pay for the Big Dig.
The plaintiffs are also expected today to ask a judge to ensure that proceeds from anticipated sales of Pike assets do not disappear as potential sources of money for a judgment.
